Canadian pipe manufacturer Encoma has again ordered two smart pipe extrusion lines from KraussMaffei, one for larger pipe sizes and the other for a 5-layer heat-resistant polyethylene line designed for heating pipes.
In the fall of 2021, Encoma's new plant was fitted with a QuickSwitch line from KraussMaffei for the production of HDPE pipes. It was the first QuickSwitch line delivered by KraussMaffei to the North American market.
QuickSwitch is an efficient pipe extrusion package solution developed by KraussMaffei. During use, the user can adjust the pipe size as needed through simple operations such as pushing a button, enabling quick changeover between different pipe sizes for production. The QuickSwitch line not only helps to increase efficiency, but also saves material and energy, making pipe production more sustainable.
