To better answer to the requirements raised by the Provincial Party Committee and People's Government of Guangdong for rural rejuvenation and targeted poverty reduction, Guangzhou Institute has been active in applying for rural Party building infrastructure projects funded by the working committee of government and Party organs directly under the provincial leadership, and has recently finished the acceptance inspection of the project in its partner village in the fight against poverty.
The working committee of government and Party organs directly under the provincial leadership support poverty reduction in their partner villages through such projects as renovating venues for Party branch activities and building farmers' institutes on the Party Constitution and regulations. The purpose is to strengthen the leading role of Party building, motivate local residents for lifting themselves out of poverty, and consolidate the Party's rule in rural areas.
The project delivered for acceptance inspection is located in Keng'er Village of Luhe County, including the renovation of the Party activity room on the second floor of the Village Committee building and of the bulletin board for Party building on the small square on the first floor. Specifically the activity room is decorated and equipped with multimedia equipment for meeting purpose, the small library is facelifted and equipped with more equipment and learning materials on Party policies and regulations, and the walls on both sides of the square are renovated for publicity purpose.
Since the project was approved, the Party Committee of Guangzhou Institute has attached great importance to it, strictly followed the project implementation administrative measures, ensured fund allocation and management, and overseen the work by its workforce and the village Party branch. A delegation of the Guangzhou Institute Party Committee has visited the village for acceptance inspection. During their stay, they spoke highly of the work done by the Village Committee and hoped that the project would strengthen local Party building, allow it to play a leading role in poverty reduction and rural rejuvenation, give a bigger play to the political functions of Party organizations, and continue to improve their organizational skills and capacity in poverty reduction. It will pay attention to increasing the confidence of local people in lifting themselves out of poverty and make sure they have access to education they need to do so, stimulate farmers living in poverty, and mobilize forces to win the fight against poverty as soon as possible.
