KraussMaffei Group has recently announced its business operation data for the previous three quarters. Data shows that since the launch of the digital strategy this year, KraussMaffei has shown a strong momentum of growth, with steady growth in the market share of its digital products and services and equipment lease. In the first three quarters, the order amount totaled 1.05 billion euros, an increase of 2.5% from the same period last year, and the sales totaled 9.73 billion euros, up by 1.6%.
The company has adjusted itself to the trend of digital manufacturing. At the celebration of its 180th anniversary in June, it announced the Compass strategic plan. Accordingly while continuing to consolidate its leading position in the traditional rubber machinery sector, it will accelerate the development of digital products and services and explore new business models for equipment lease and used equipment. To this end, it set up the Digital Service Solutions Division in July to boost the future development. The strategy is said to be effective until 2023.
Dr. Frank Stieler, CEO of the KraussMaffei Group, said, “We position KraussMaffei as a company able to continue to focus on meeting clients' needs in the digital era." "In the following years, we will vigorously explore new business models, give play to the digital strength based on our expertise in machinery manufacturing, and create more added value for our clients.”
As the business continues to grow, so does the workforce. Its global workforce, including apprentices, has exceeded 5,500, up by 13% from the end of 2016. It's said that the company has 310 apprentices under training, the biggest apprentice group in the company's history.
