On April 13, the first electric control cabinet was officially off the assembly line and delivered for use. As an important part of injection molding machine, the electric control cabinet will start mass production for the injection molding machine of KraussMaffei in Haiyan. In addition, it is learned that the standardized injection molding machine racks, fuel tanks and other matching products produced by Fujian Sanming Double-Wheel Chemical Machinery Co., Ltd. (“Sanming Chemical Machinery”) will be launched successively.
In November 2017, with the support of KraussMaffei technicians, the R&D and product team of Sanming Chemical Machinery completed the trial production of electric control cabinet, rack and fuel tank, which successfully passed the test and began to take orders from the Haiyan factory. After the preliminary material preparation, in mid-March this year, the project team of electric control cabinet officially started the installation, commissioning and inspection of mass-produced products. These ancillary products will be applied to the injection molding machine independently produced by Sanming Chemical Machinery in the future.
In accordance with the business integration plan, Sanming Chemical Machinery will develop the production line of injection molding machine for KraussMaffei to produce PX injection molding machine, etc., so that it can provide high-quality products and services to more customers and gradually realize the transformation and upgrading of business. At present, Sanming Chemical Machinery is orderly promoting the preparatory work such as the renovation of factory buildings, the relocation of old equipment, the purchase and commissioning of new equipment, and the reshuffle of internal staff.
It’s said that the first localized PX prototype will be produced at the Haiyan plant in April, and then the PX injection molding machine team will go to Sanming Chemical Machinery to jointly build the production line of injection molding machine. According to the plan, Sanming Chemical Machinery will produce its first PX user testing machine at its 60th anniversary in October which will formally enter the market in batches in the following year. In the future, the injection molding machine will gradually replace the vulcanizing machine and become the flagship product of Sanming Chemical Machinery, which is both the goal of strategic business adjustment and the specific measure of Sanming Chemical Machinery.
In July 2017, Sanming Chemical Machinery signed a management service agreement with KraussMaffei. In December of the same year, its SAP ERP phase-1 project was officially started and has been put into operation recently. This official launch of electric control cabinet is another substantive achievement of the two sides' business integration. The responsible person of Sanming Chemical Machinery said, with the new strategic goals of becoming the global injection molding machine manufacturing and assembly base, the global supply center of electric control cabinet and the intelligent manufacturing (robot) base, Sanming Chemical Machinery is accelerating its pace.
