Recently, the “Investment Coordination Meeting of Yixing Innovation and Creativity Competition for Central Enterprises” was held in Wuhan. At the meeting, Central Research Institute of China Chemical Science and Technology (CRICC) made investment coordination with 25 famous venture capital organizations for its 48 projects including “UAV Plant Protection Chain Services and Agricultural Data Acquisition Platform”. The coordination meeting was guided by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC), hosted by China Electronics Technology Group Corporation, undertaken by the People’s Government of Huanggang Municipality, and was supported by SASAC, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Finance and the State Intellectual Property Office of China.
The platform is ChemChina’s project for the final competition, and the only UAV plant protection chain service project that enters the competition. The project aims, through connectivity with UAV and pharmaceutical companies, build a big data website platform for the agricultural UAV plant protection service system covering UAV, drugs, spray synergist and plant protection technology, and provide an integrated solution for UAV-based pest control. Mr. Yao Dengfeng, a specialist of the project, made a road show for the project in terms of big data acquisition system architecture, business model, service brand, market prediction and expected income, etc.
The project not only responds to the requirements on the intelligent development of agricultural machinery, but also complies with China’s policies on realizing zero growth of pesticides in 2020. It has a broad market prospect and aroused strong interests of institutional investors in the project.
