Strong rainstorms have hit the southern regions of China recently, affecting nearly ten million people in Guangxi, Hunan, Jiangxi, Sichuan and elsewhere. In response, Guilin Rubber Machinery and Yiyang Rubber & Plastics Machinery Group Co., Ltd., two subsidiaries of China National Chemical Equipment Co., Ltd., set up taskforces to participate in local flood fighting and emergency rescue efforts.
On July 2, the water level of Lijiang River rose to the alert level due to days of heavy rains, posting a threat to the life and property of residents nearby. In early morning, Guilin Rubber Machinery set up a ten-member emergency team to join rescue operations.
At about 10:00 AM, the emergency team patrolling the river found four persons left stranded in their stilt house, and launched rescue efforts immediately. They successfully transferred the residents, along with their key materials, to safe places.
