Recently, the Central Research Institute of China Chemical Science and Technology (CRICC) has signed the EPC contract for oxygen and hydrogen production stations and the gas filling project with the Tay Ninh Industrial Gas Co., Ltd. in Vietnam. It marks that the CRICC has seized the opportunity brought by to the Belt and Road Initiative, broken away from its original market exploration mode and taken its first step in participating in international engineering and technical service projects.
Design and engineering services have always been one of the principal businesses of the CRICC which boasts Class A qualifications for both consulting and design and has accumulated rich experience in consulting, engineering design and EPC services.
The Tay Ninh province of Vietnam has no specialized gas company and relies almost entirely on external supply for oxygen and hydrogen, which falls far short of the market demand. Seeing the opportunity, the CRICC immediately set up a task force, took the initiative to contact local parties concerned, and won the contract in two months thanks to its rich experience, targeted and efficient solutions, and knowledge about local policies & regulations, technical standards, design norms, and market demand.
The project includes oxygen production facilities, hydrogen production facilities, the oxygen & hydrogen storage system, four kinds of filling facilities, as well as supporting office and living facilities, test & maintenance facilities and public utilities. After completion, the project will greatly ease the short supply of special gas in Tay Ninh and nearby regions.
The signing of the project contract opens a door to the design and engineering services of the CRICC, and paves the way for it to go global.
