(Correspondent: Zhang Yunzhong,Cheng Lei) The project themed as “New Environment-friendly High-performance Polyurethane Materials Development”undertaken by Liming Institute is one of key special subjects titled as “the Development and Application of Green High-performance Anti-microbial Synthetic Resin”belonging to China's Key R&D Plan for improvement and industrialization of key base materials. It has been approved by High Tech Research and Development Center affiliated with Ministry of Science and Technology of China, getting R&D funds of more than RMB 5 million from the central government.
According to relevant information, the project pertaining to new polyurethane materials is designed to solve the problem of automobile polyurethane materials emitting strong smell.Liming Institute is planning to build a production line with 10,000-ton annual output for three years to improve the technical level of China’s relevant downstream industries, sharpen its edge and boost the high-end development of China’s self-brand automobile industry by developing the polyurethane reaction injection molding technology, high-fire-retardant cold-setting high-resilience foamed material with faint smell and one-step forming solvent-free PU leather materials.
According to project requirements of Liming Institute, main participants of complementary projects are selected to make the scheduling plan of development and industrial application, and to set about to reconstruct R&D labs, re-design the packaging barrel, improve the quality of products and the unloading of tank lorries. These improvements are designed to enhance the overall R&D level, and better guarantee product supplies and control cost, creating good conditions for the smooth implementation of China’s key R&D plans.
According to relevant information, the National Key R&D Plan of China, the integration of 973 Program, 863 Program, the National Key Technology R&D Program, International Science & Technology Cooperation Program of China, the Research and Development Funds for Industrial Technologies, and the Special R&D Project for Public Welfare Industries, is designed for major public welfare research related to national interest and people's livelihood, and major basic strategic forward-looking science issues and common key technologies and products concerning industrial core competitiveness, overall capabilities for independent innovation, providing sustained support and guidance for major fields of national economic and social development. The National Key R&D Plan of China focuses on changing the setting and arrangements of existing sci-tech plans according to different R&D stages so as to shorten the research-technology-market cycle and make more efficient to upgrade technologies and apply research achievements by comprehensively implementing the overall design of the development and application and demonstration of major common key technologies in basic frontiers.
