(Correspondent Ma Yan, Zhang Yunzhong) The 11th G20 Summit was kicked off under the global spotlight in Hangzhou, Zhejiang on September 4. During the G20 Summit hosted by China for the first time, 100 Yutong T7 high-end business coaches served the honored guests, forming flowing sceneries for the meeting. On these comfortable and environment-friendly coaches, innovative products from Luoyang attracted wide attention.
With the outstanding performance of the products, Liming Chemical Research Institute became the exclusive supplier of new polyurethane materials being used for T7 interiors such as seats, dashboards and armrests by standing out from many competitors. The new materials gave a hand to Yutong Company in serving the G20 Summit with China's high-end business coaches.
It is not by accident that new polyurethane materials invented by Liming Institute are used for Yutong T7. As a pioneer and a founder in the Chinese polyurethane industry, Liming Institute has been committed to the research on raw materials and auxiliaries of polyurethane, and the R&D, production and technology radiation of polyurethane products. It was awarded the title "Leading Enterprise in the Polyurethane Industry in the Past Two Decades".
Liming Institute is President Unit of China Polyurethane Industry Association (CPUIA), with the National Reaction Injection Molding Engineering Technology Research Center based in the institute. New polyurethane materials and technologies have become one of Liming Institute’s main research directions. Liming Institute has cooperated with Yutong Group for nearly 20 years. During the period of the cooperation, it has claimed nearly 100 technological achievements in the field of new polyurethane materials, more than 30 of which reach the international advanced level, over 20 of which are winners of provincial and ministerial awards and above, and 20-odd of which have been produced in mass quantities. Its products are widely used in auto-making, construction, home furnishing, sports, clothing, printing, and other fields.
In an interview, reporters learned that the name of the raw material being used to produce Yutong T7 seats is mixed cold-setting high-resilience component. The materials are a pillar product of Liming Institute and a brand-name product of Henan Province, with an annual volume of 9,000 tons and annual sales of RMB 150 million. The faint-smell materials are widely applied to seats of school buses and high-end vehicles. The raw materials used for dashboards of Yutong T7 are mixed low-density long-fiber reinforced PU-RIM components, the star product of Liming Institute. As the productivity of its products is five times that in conventional processes, nearly 30% of raw materials can be saved when compared with the same product of foreign companies, with the faint-smell product reaching the international leading level and domestic market share amounting to 80%. The materials applied to eco-friendly dashboards are newly developed by Liming Institute in response to the domestic trend of environment protection. The all-water-blown integral-skin components used to produce Yutong T7 armrests are eco-friendly products developed by Liming Institute in the recent two years. The high-end components have advantages such as faint smell, good sense of touch, wear resistance, and, with its unique water-blown technology, successfully replace other foreign brands.
