Recently the 3.2m x 16m super flat-panel vulcanizing machine production line, the biggest of its kind in China developed by Yiyang Rubber & Plastics Machinery Group Co., Ltd., has produced a steel cord conveyor belt that is 104m long, 2.8m wide and 42mm thick at Baotong Science and Technology Co., Ltd in Wuxi, so far the widest and thickest high-tenacity conveyor belt in China. According to Baotong Science and Technology, this conveyor belt is produced for Dunlop.
For years, Yiyang Rubber & Plastics Machinery Group has grabbed about 70% of the market of flat-panel vulcanizing machines and its products are sold to Japan, Brazil, South Africa and Southeast Asia. As the market of medium- to large-sized flat-panel vulcanizing machines of about 10m long is increasingly saturated, it sets its eyes on the latest development at home and abroad and starts to develop super flat-panel vulcanizing machines that are at least 16m long and 2m wide, to seize the emerging market as soon as possible. It’s difficult and demanding to process the hot plate of the 3.2m x 16m super flat-panel vulcanizing machine. To do that, Yiyang Rubber & Plastics Machinery Group has installed a 22m x 4m numerically controlled machine tool integrating the functions of boring, milling and grinding, to process hot plates, cross beams and frame plates of super flat panels. Compared with tape of the same length, super flat panels have less joints, which can improve the quality and endurance of tape. Its unit conveyance efficiency is high and can better satisfy the demand of mines and docks at home and abroad for steel cord conveyor belts.
So far Baotong has installed three super flat-panel vulcanizing machine production lines, 16m x 1.6m, 16m x 2m, and 16m x 3.2m, respectively at its new base.
