During the National Meeting on Petroleum and Chemical Industry Quality Standardization in Beijing, 14 categories of products of 15 enterprises were awarded “China Famous Brand in Petrochemical Industry“, including "Dongda” polyether polyol of Bluestar Dongda. This was the second time for Bluestar Dongda to won this title since its first in 2010.
“China Famous Brand in Petrochemical Industry“ prize was set by China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation according to the documents of six ministries and commissions including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, National Development and Reform Commission, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, etc. It is of great value for encouraging enterprises to develop their own brand, adopt industrial famous brand strategy, improve product quality, and enhance competitiveness and popularity.
To establish and improve scientific and technological innovation system, Bluestar Dongda has been raising its input in R&D. Based the Provincial Enterprise Technology Center and New Surfactant Engineering Technology Research Center and starting from improvement of technique and quality, Bluestar Dongda adopted delicate management and launched a special campaign of “cutting the cost and raising the efficiency and quality”, so as to accelerate the development of the proprietary brand. So far, the sales volume of polyether polyol, the dominant product of the company, ranks first in the industry nationwide.
In each of recent years, Bluestar Dongda had at least two new products (technologies) R&D projects passed the expert assessment of Shandong Economic and Information Technology Committee. It has filed 97 patent applications, and 83 of them are granted patent, among which 14 are patents for invention. Therefore, Bluestar Dongda was awarded “Model Enterprise of Patent in Shandong” by the Department of Science & Technology of Shandong Province and Intellectual Property Office of Shandong Province.
