The quality supervision and inspection center of the Guangming Research and Design Institute recently passed PepsiCo’s review as the world’s 12th and Asia’s second carbon dioxide inspection lab for Pepsi. The inspection found the center met the lab’s technical requirements after Pepsi joined hands with Master Kong. It will help Guangming maintain stable cooperation with the famous international beverage brand.
PepsiCo’s requirements in lab testing technology, environment and personnel quality are very demanding and stringent. The inspection center passed a review in 2005 to become one of Pepsi’s recognized global carbon dioxide labs. The center took part in a 2008 event organized by Pepsi to determine benzene, acetaldehyde and carbon oxysulfide content in carbon dioxide. The test results were in line with requirements.
The inspection center is a State-recognized air quality testing institute and mainly engages in air product testing and testing technology research. It’s responsible for issuing production permits for hazardous chemical gas production, product supervision and random inspection, industrial evaluation and quality conflict arbitration. The institute’s 252 ized gas inspections cover all gas products with national standards. The institute has been a directing member of the China Industrial Gas Association and supervises the quality of liquefied carbon dioxide used as a food additive for Pepsi. It ensures the quality of dozens of domestic suppliers, will pay close attention to the development of international beverage brands and continues to improve itself to keep up with the times.
