Recently, Aeolus loader tire series (23.5R25 AL36 and 26.5R25AL36) and radial type dumper tire (29.5R25 A2207/AE47) successfully passed indoors and outdoors tests with flying colors. The test was carried out by Volvo Construction Equipment.
The tests were part of the Aeolus product quality upgrade plan. The indoors test finished in October 2012, while the outdoors began in January 2013, lasted a year and were a vital part of the whole test. The outdoors test measured overall tire performance. Tires were put on Volvo Construction’s A46G dumper for testing, which lasted 2,888 hours and covered 24.76 kilometers. Tests showed that the tire made for a comfortable ride, with well-distributed abrasion tire tread and 30 millimeters in average residual tread pattern depth.
Volvo Construction Equipment is a member of Volvo Group and a top construction equipment manufacturer. It mainly engages in the development of various excavators, wheel loaders, motor graders and radial type trucks. Its tests are very demanding. First, the company will review producer qualifications and tire sample trial-manufacture, as well as prepare various testing materials, before conducting the indoors and outdoors tests at Volvo headquarters in Europe. Aeolus 23.5R25 AL36, 26.5R25AL36 and 29.5R25 A2207/AE47 successfully passed tests, which reflected well on Aeolus’s strength and was of great significance in its transformation into a global quality brand.
