Bluestar Silicones launched several new products in its Lyndcoat range at the Tire Technology Expo 2014 in Cologne, Germany, from Feb 11-13, 2014. The new products can be used for tire lubricants, bladder coatings and mould release agents.

The release agent application step limits tire production capacity, so Bluestar Silicones’ latest generation multi-release inside paint Lyndcoat BR2512 was developed to overcome this problem. The new multi-release agent reduces the use of tire coatings while ensuring improved overall properties. It allows customers to decrease their costs due to reduced release agent consumption and significant savings in occupied warehouse space and internal transport. The product creates an optimal compromise between durability, slip and air bleed, resulting in very low defect rates and high bladder life extension.

There were customers who had compared Lyndcoat’s BR2512 bladder release with non-filled, multi-release material. The result showed drastic reduction of off center tires and a 20 percent increase in bladder life.
