Aeolus developed a pollution-free, oil-saving, low carbon semi-steel passenger-car tire, recently -- the P215/60R16 AG03 -- so that it now has 12 types of semi-steel passenger-car tire treads. The AG03 was developed for the North America market, for all seasons and can be used, for example, for the Corolla, Camry, and Lexus. Its four wide drainage grooves and streamlined horizontal groove give it excellent drainage and help avoid sliding and ensure safety in wet weather. The tread is also effective in reducing noise. The central area uses a reinforced rib pattern and slant grooves to shorten braking distance and improve driving. The major pattern block uses a fine groove to soften the tread, while the shoulder has big pattern block for better wear resistance and road-holding. The rubber allows for low rolling and wear resistance for saving on gas and oil.
The tire has gone through trials for appearance, uniformity and balance and met company standards, while the results show it above American standards -- the bead unseating resistance, by 20 percent; wear resistance, by 85 percent; and speed, 42 percent. The AG03 series feature 26 specifications and will be on the market soon.
