The Huaxing Group has used a “standardized safety and model safety workers” theme for better safety management and to reach its goal of zero accidents and occupational hazards through standardization, corrosion monitoring, and spotting hidden dangers to tackle problems and improve its emergency response system.
The group tried hard to promote safety and model worker concepts with help from media such as the Huaxing Wenhua Daily, and “no violations, no bad habits” and “cherish life, no profit from blood” concepts. It also uses a safety management method of self-discipline, self-improvement, and continued improvement, and promotes safety standardization with an “every staff member, along the whole process, in an all-round way, in all weather” system. The group keeps a lookout for unsafe behavior or conditions and other defects and has managed to expose hidden dangers to ensure the safety measures and a sense of responsibility, emergency funds, and precautionary plan are all in place. It drew up safety contracts for service providers to make sure that contractors are responsible for construction safety and took action on corrosion monitoring by measuring the amount of corrosion and instantly removed it to avoid hidden dangers. It did a good job in protection measures for freezing weather to avoid damage and ensure safer production. The safety and environmental-protection responsibilities at each link of the manufacturing chain had liability agreements that followed “those in charge take responsibility” and “territorial management” principles. The safety and environmental protection department developed an emergency-response plan with emergency measures, conducted accident drills, and gained experience in emergency response methods.
