The China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation announced its decision on advanced units in petroleum and chemical industry, recently, and on commendations for their work in water saving and water treatment. And one of the advanced units in this was Zhenghe Petrochemical.
The company has had some noteworthy results in energy saving and reduced consumption in recent years, thanks to technological transformations and the support of leaders. Its energy consumption and saving indices overall, especially in the case of water, are down substantially, while its fresh water consumption per ton of oil continues to drop every year. These achievements are recognized by the government at various levels and by related departments.
The general aim of this effort, according to one report, is to promote water saving in the petroleum and chemical industries across the country. In the federation’s commendations, 42 business units and 49 water treatment projects were cited.
