Every May 19 is the donation date of Jiaozuo city, Henan province. As the first manufacturing enterprise with revenues exceeding 10 billion yuan ($ 1.57 billion) in Jiaozuo City, Aeolus Tyre Co Ltd has adhered to its social responsibility, along with its rapid growth. Since donation activities were initiated in 2005, Aeolus Tyre organized its employees to take an active part in "Love Donation Day." During 2005 to 2011, donations had totaled more than one million yuan with the figure in 2011 amounting to more than 210,000 yuan. Its donations took a leading pposition among enterprises in Jiaozuo, and won wide praise from Jiaozuo municipal party committee and government as well.
At the "Love Donation Day" commendation meeting held in Jiaozuo this year, Aeolus Tyre was again awarded the "Advanced Corporate Donation Unit" by the Jiaozuo Social Aid and Relief Work Leading Team. Wang Feng, Party Secretary and general manager of Aeolus Tyre, was awarded the "Charity Messenger" of Jiaozuo City.
The "Love Donation Day" encouraged urban residents and enterprises to donate through the "Love Fund," which would be used to assist urban low-income families, especially in rural regions, college students and families with financial difficulties caused by illnesses and disasters.
