On August 9th, the evening reception for closing of the 20th BlueStar Summer Camp took place grandly in Centennial Auditorium of Peking University, involving Chinese and foreign campers and many showbiz stars as well as former Vice Chairperson of the NPC Gu Xiulian as the honorable guest. ChemChina President Ren Jianxin unveiled the name list of winners in the BlueStar Children's Drawing Contest right on the stage.
The evening began with a delightful group dance. A song titled Beijing Welcomes You performed by Li Muzi, a famous young singer who sang the same song at the opening ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, together with Chinese and foreign campers, first brought the evening party into a state of passion, friendliness and harmony, which symbolized BlueStar's open-mindedness to embrace friends from all over the world and make BlueStar a big family of Chinese and foreign employees. This song highlighted the theme of this summer camp, BlueStar - We Are Family.
Many stars took the stage in company with summer campers and contributed a long string of wonderful shows ranging from song and dance, cameo, piano solo, magic, poem recital and onstage interactive games. Famous singer Gan Ping and her daughter performed two songs titled Sound of Music and Three Monks in company with campers. Former lead singer of a famous singing band Hua Er (literally Flower) Da Zhang Wei and famed domestic magician Li Ning also brought their fascinating performance to the stage. A characteristic fashion show was staged by Chinese and foreign campers under the leadership of a foreigner, who presented clothes tailored by campers using recyclable waste materials and won high recognition of the audience for the intense atmosphere of environmental awareness.
The interplay section of the show got all the viewers deeply involved as an interactive program Rolling Water Carrier was performed by parents of campers and foreign campers under the guidance of the camp instructor, which fully embodied the team spirit and importance of collaboration amid interesting plots and laughter of happiness. A magic titled Little Magician performed by Li Ning taught the audience how to perform magic within five minutes and a juvenile viewer was randomly selected to stage as a coworker. The audiences were fascinated by the incredible magic show.
The whole event focused on the theme of the camp, "BlueStar - We Are Family," which was highlighted by the strong impression that both music and BlueStar are without boundaries. BlueStar has been unremittingly showing intense care to its employees and fostering the next generation of employees over the past two decades. In particular, on the special occasion of becoming a multinational company, children of both foreign and domestic employees were invited to join this summer camp to know more about the big family of BlueStar, a novel approach to fostering cohesion of Chinese and foreign employees that was highly recognized by the honorable guests and stars present at the gathering.
The curtain fell for this gathering as all campers sang the theme song of the camp titled Grow under the Blue Sky and Bright Stars composed and written by the famous domestic musician Xiao Ke.
After the end of the show, Ren Jianxin and other BlueStar leading officials accompanied Gu Xiulian to offer congratulations on successful completion of the show and take photos with all campers and entertainers. (By Li Bingmei)
