The reviewing work of the 12th China Patent Awards having been recently completed, the State Intellectual Property Office has made a public display of the final results. One item under consideration was the acid distributor of anodic protection technology developed by the Tianhua Institute of Chemical Machinery and Automation.
The tubular acid distributor of anodic protection was independently developed by Tianhua and was ready for promotion within the industry. The project had been able to reach an internationally advanced level at a relatively low cost. The acid distributor, being anti-corrosive and easy to install, has achieved uniformity in acid distribution and has large section for free ventilation. It eases off China’s heavy dependence on imports and gives a big boost to the development of the sulfuric acid industry in China, keeping the country at the forefront of the international electrochemical protection sector.
At present, the new distributor project has captured 80% of the domestic market. Tianhua has paid special attention to the method of applying for patents and is increasing the number of patent applications. It is creating core patent technologies for the tubular distributor, which has pushed forward the work of enterprise patent protection. The institute has also driven home to the staff the importance of the awareness of intellectual property protection and innovation.
