The Toray Bluestar Membrane Co Ltd (TBMC) has developed TOUGHTM, a new generation of chemical durability reverse osmosis membranes.
TOUGHTM series reverse osmosis membranes use molecular design technology and precision interfacial polymerization to control the pore size distribution and the structure of high-end features of polyamide layers.
It has achieved great breakthroughs in water production rates, desalination rates and chemical durability.
The brackish water desalination reverse osmosis membrane TM720D-400 which entered the domestic markets first, holds the highest rate of desalination (99.8%) as well as highest water production rate (11,000gpd) and possesses the leading level in acid-alkali resistant cleaning and residual chlorine attacks.
China holds strong demand for membrane water treatment.
Due to its special water quality and other reasons, operating conditions of the reverse osmosis system is getting more complex. TOUGHTM membrane can satisfy users’ frequent cleaning needs with a higher ability to recover organic, biological contamination conditions.
It can tolerate trace residual chlorine to create a convenient operating environment for users.
TBMC will introduce the product to the world before the end of the year.
