The company intends to safeguard their employment rights. It has enabled the 600 female staff to work and live in a pleasant mood, as disclosed in a company happiness index.
The company furnishes professional training for its female staff. The company maintains the project, “female staff forging careers” and targets “developing female pacesetters to make valuable contributions” and “setting up model posts for female staff.” It has organized female staff to improve their job quality and skills by learning new knowledge, mastering new skills, raising new proposals, innovating with new technology, developing new products and creating new records. Female staff can become pacesetters in their respective posts, produce quality products, provide quality services, and elevate their job qualifications. The company hired 101 female staff with junior technical titles, 39 with middle-rank technical titles, and two with senior technical titles. It has 140 female staff with junior qualification certificates, 99 with middle-rank qualification certificates and 15 with senior qualification certificates. It has eight female staff listed as technicians.
To protect female staff in employment during their menstrual, pregnancy, stegmonth, puerperium, lactation and menopause periods, along with other feminine medical concerns, the company signed a collective contract for them that were implemented in 2006. The company purchased maternity insurance valued at 1,600 yuan for each female employee. It has invested more to improve hardware for a better working environment and offers annual occupational health examinations for female staff that work in posts with the potential for occupational diseases. The company has arranged gynecopathy examinations and treatment that total as two free health examinations per year. Management has invested 900,000 yuan to provide health examinations for 4,300 female staff.
Citing an example of giving happiness to a female staff member in March 2009, an employee was suffering from a serious illness. She needed cash to pay for treatment. Hearing the news, the company initiated love donations and raised 149,000 yuan in just two days. In recent years, the management team visited staff workers falling ill and hospitalized. They congratulated staff workers who got married and gave birth to children. They expressed condolences to staff workers who had family members pass away. They mediated family disputes. Hence, the company has become a second home for female staff. The women working committee is conferred with an honorary title as an advanced collective of Shandong province.
