Recently, three ISO international standards, namely, Determination of Moisture Content of Hydroxide Anion Exchange Resin, Determination of Exchange Capacity of Hydroxide Anion Exchange Resin and Test Method of Exchange Capacity of Acrylic Anion Exchange Resin, jointly drafted by Bluestar Chengrand Chengdu Testing Technology Co., Ltd., Xi’an Thermal Engineering Institute Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Suqing Water Treatment Engineering Group Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Zhengguang Industrial Co., Ltd., Zibo Dongda Chemical Co., Ltd. and Dandong Mingzhu Special Resin Co., Ltd., were formally established. They are also the first batch of international standards successful developed by China in this field.
The reliability and accuracy of the test method provide a solid underpinning for determining the performance of ion exchange resins, which are one of the most important materials used in water treatment for power stations. The success of this series of standards effectively fills the gaps of international standards in this field and will provide strong technical support for China’s ion exchange resin products to enter the international market.
