Recently, the result of the evaluation of “Best Star of Scientific and Technological Innovation”, which was jointly held by the Publicity Department of the CPC Lianyungang Committee and Lianyungang Association for Science and Technology, was announced. Tian Fengrong, a senior engineer of Lehigh Environmental Protection Institute, won the honorary title.
Started in late March this year, the activity received 98 applications from counties, societies and directly-affiliated departments of the city, involving 20 professional categories including materials engineering, power engineering, mechanical equipment, and drug research and development. Through preliminary expert evaluation and public voting, 10 applicants won the title of “Best Star of Scientific and Technological Innovation”.
Tian is engaged mainly in researches on degradation-resistant organic wastewater treatment technologies, highly-efficient microbial preparations, and wastewater recycling technologies. As a trainee of the “333” high-level talent training project of Jiangsu Province, she has taken charge of or participated in 25 state-level, provincial and city-level scientific research programs, has been granted 30 state-level patents, and published 13 papers. She is a winner of China Excellent Patent Award, Silver Prize of the Entrepreneurial Invention Award of China Association of Inventions, and the first and second prizes for city-level scientific & technological progress.
