Bluestar Silicones International Co., Ltd. (BSI), an overseas subsidiary of Bluestar, has announced recently that it has added a new production line to its plant in Spain and improved the production technology to secure the supply of customized products and meet the growing needs of clients according to the elastomer business growth plan it released in June 2015.
BSI's customized products have been successfully launched in European, Middle East and African markets to offer customized solutions for local clients. The above-mentioned plan is expected to increase the customized production capacity by more than 50%. Meanwhile, the new cutting-edge technology that fully integrates production, filtering and packaging will ensure the product quality and a safe process. Mehdi Abbadi, BSI Global Business Manager, said that silicones customization had become a core competitiveness of BSI Spain. The new production line would further sharpen BSI’s edge in the field of high performance materials to offer better customized solutions for clients and precisely meet clients’ needs.
At the 2015 Silicone Elastomer World Summit (SEWS 2015) held in Barcelona, BSI launched the heat-cure rubber (HCR) and the liquid silicone rubber (LSR) to be used in areas of electricity, industry and medical application, intended to meet the highest demands on the electrical insulation, thermal stability and flame resistance. In addition, BSI customized products are also widely used in wire & cable, electrical insulating materials, motor vehicles and consumption goods.
