Ren Jianxin Meets with Israeli Ambassador to China

ChemChina Chairman Ren Jianxin met with a visiting delegation led by Israeli ambassador to China Matan Vilnai at the headquarters of the corporation on July 17, 2015. The ambassador spoke highly of ChemChina’s business growth in Israel over recent years. And the two sides held talks on topics of their common concern.

Prior to the meeting, the delegation headed by the ambassador visited the Chemical Industry Museum of China where they gained a better understanding about how ChemChina has delivered innovations and achieved growth along the way.

On October 17, 2011, China National Agrochemical Corporation, the wholly owned subsidiary of ChemChina, acquired 60% of the equity of Makhteshim-Agan, becoming the largest shareholder of the company. Makhteshim-Agan is a world-leading agrochemical company with a history of 70 years. Since 2014 the company has been renamed ADAMA Agricultural Solution Co., Ltd. (ADAMA), which has a wide range of products including herbicide, insecticide, fungicide, plant growth regulator, dietary supplement, food additive and fragrance. The company produces over 120 varieties of raw material for pharmaceutics and more than 800 preparations, with nearly 5,000 products and 6,000-plus trademarks registered in 120 countries across the world. ADAMA registered a sales revenue of USD3.221 billion in 2014, ranking among the fast-growing companies in the plant protection industry.
