On July 3, ChemChina held a debriefing meeting about a new State-company supervisory board officially entering ChemChina. Gao Fengtao, the SASAC board director, made an important speech with Kong Jianguo, director of the supervisory board stationed in ChemChina. All supervisory staff attended the meeting. Ren Jianxin, general manager of ChemChina, gave an introduction of the company’s overall situation and major work progress. The company’s leadership and heads of specialty companies were also on hand.
Ren welcomed all supervisory officials and thanked SASAC and the supervisory board for their support and guidance. He hoped that Gao Fengtao and the supervisory board will offer advice on the company’s future work. Then, Ren made reports on ChemChina’s overall situation, major work over the past years and its future focus.
After hearing the reports, Gao gave an introduction about SASAC supervisory board regulations, development history, responsibility and work methods. He spoke highly of ChemChina’s achievements over the years and said that the company has realized excellent performance, well-developed businesses, a distinctive company culture, rapid overseas development, sound work safety and environment protection measures, and excellent Party building work. In the end, he brought up three suggestions. First, establish a work communication mechanism by setting up a unit to contact with the supervisory board and appointing dedicated personnel to support the board’s work. Second, strengthen major event reporting mechanisms to keep the board up to date of the company’s major policies, leadership changes, project investment and decisions, and large capital use. Third, take concrete measures to help the board conduct supervision and inspection as well as accelerate the establishment of auxiliary work mechanisms and measures to support the board. At the same time, Gao asked the board members to carefully carry out the central government’s requirements on supervision work and offer services to companies.
In the end, Ren asked all departments and units of ChemChina to offer full support to the board’s work and progress with its help and guidance.
