Gu Xiulian, accompanied by Ren Jianxin, visited Nantong Xingchen
On October 4, Gu Xiulian, vice chairwoman of the Tenth Session of the NPC, visited Nantong Xingchen Synthetic Material Co Ltd, accompanied by Ren Jianxin, general manager of the China National Chemical Corp.
The company celebrated the national holiday. Gu Xiulian visited bisphenol A and epoxy workshops to extend her greetings to those at work during the festival and asked about work conditions. As former leader of the Ministry of Chemicals industry, Gu Xiulian paid attention to National Chemical Corp and Nantong Xingchen Co. developments. During relocation of Xingchen Co., she visited the new construction base, and guided construction. After a few years, Xingcheng Co. has developed into a comprehensive new chemical material base from a single engineering plastics and photographic chemicals base. Its leading products - epoxy resin, bisphenol A, PBT and some modified products - are produced with high quality standards on a large scale. In 2011, its main business income had jumped to nearly 3 billion yuan from 300 million yuan.
Pang Xiaolin, general manager of Nantong Xingchen Co., issued a working report on the rap session. She introduced experiences of building China’s chemical model through upgrades and world class manufacturing pilot. Gu said it is good that Nantong seized the opportunity for a factory relocation, to meet market demand, built epoxy resin, bisphenol A, PBT and other new projects, and formed a good development pattern of new chemical material base. After expansion, it is necessary to carry out management reforms, improve technology devices, and enhance market competition capabilities. Gu pointed out that the chemical industry is the pillar sector of the national economy, and modern people cannot live without chemical products. The factory should promote its products and applications, and let customers and the public purchase these products to expand market share. Currently we are facing economic difficulties, and must face up to them, uphold Bluestar concepts, make use of our own advantages and plan new developments.
