The 23rd Bluestar International Summer Camp began on July 20. Meanwhile, 24 branches opened across more than 20 cities nationwide. More than 1,100 children are expected to participate in the 20-day summer camp.
224 campers were invited to the opening ceremony at Bluestar’s new office building in Beijing in the morning, and among them were 54 foreign campers from countries such as the US, UK, and France. They greeted organizers with a simple Chinese greeting they had just learned. Ren Jianming, vice president of ChemChina, Lu Xiaobao, general manager of Bluestar, and Gao Jianjun, secretary of the Party committee, spoke with campers.
Ren delivered his best wishes for a 20-day happy summer experience. He encouraged employees to set an example for the campers as teachers and good friends.
Lu recapped the history of the Bluestar summer camp, and said it was a big part of its corporate culture. He described the camp as a bridge for overseas employees to learn more about the company.
He expressed hope that campers should improve themselves and make more friends. He asked employees to pay attention to safety issues.
Representatives for campers expressed their gratitude and said they could not wait for the summer camp to begin.
